Websidyn is a web design studio run by Siddesh, based in India and working with small businesses in Australia and India. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: hello@websidyn.com.
What we collect
- Details you give us: when you email us, book a chat or fill in a form (including forms on Facebook or Instagram ads), we receive what you enter, such as your name, email address, business name, website and type of business.
- Public business information: to prepare a website preview, we may use information your business has published publicly, such as your business name, photos, services and reviews.
- Basic website data: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data such as IP address and browser type to deliver and secure this website. We don't use advertising trackers on websidyn.com.
How we use it
- To reply to you and talk about your website.
- To design, build, launch and look after your website if you become a client.
- To send invoices and keep records we're required to keep.
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't add you to marketing lists.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to run the business: Google Workspace (email and calendar), Cloudflare (hosting), Meta (if you reach us through a Facebook or Instagram ad form) and our payment provider (Stripe or PayPal) when you pay an invoice. These services may store data outside your country.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for up to 2 years unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Client records are kept as long as needed for the work and for tax and legal requirements.
Your choices
- Ask what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it.
- Ask us to stop contacting you at any time. Just reply to any email or write to hello@websidyn.com.
- If we've prepared a website preview for your business and you'd like it removed, tell us and we'll take it down.
If you're in Australia and unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
